Better late than never......Happy 10th Birthday, Josh! Even though it WAS almost a month ago!

This has to be the easiest cake ever! Just make a chocolate cake, cut some craters into it, make some mountains, slap on some sand-colored icing, have Joshua make a battle scene on his cake.....and well.....you get the idea! It was a hit, and VERY easy! Thanks, Joshua!

The water games were a riot, and I think all the kids had a great time.....thanks Keith for providing such fun entertainment!

Joshua got 2 cakes this year.....one on his actual birthday, and one at his party....he lucked out!
Happy 10th Birthday, Joshua! We LOVE you!

God's Amazing Creation

We had the opportunity to do some sightseeing of some of God's beautiful creation. The following pictures are of a place called Split Rock.

CHEESE!

I was trying to get video of Keith Michael and Scott playing together, but as soon as I got the camera out, Benjamin thought I should be taking pictures of HIM. You have to watch these clips in order and all the way to the end to get a good laugh. I have such silly, wonderful boys!

This one's for Daddy!

Sorry for the blurry picture there, but I think you get the idea. Benjamin had NO fear of the water. He had such a good time! Thanks for entertaining him, Keith Michael! And just one more comment....can you tell the child is used to having his picture taken???? "Cheese! Cheese!" What a goober!

"Cruise" on Schroon Lake

One of our fun family events during our reunion was to have an ice cream party aboard Word of Life's luxurious yacht.....or barge. It was fun to cruise down the lake and see my grandfather's old house, as well as the house in which I spent 2 furloughs.....memories!
I have many childhood memories from living in this boat house.
Grandpa's house...and even MORE memories!
All set for a "cruise on Schroon."
Ice cream on the barge.
Benjamin and my cousin's 2 daughters had a blast together....they were SOOOO cute!
I think Benji enjoyed being an "only" child for a week, though he did ask many times throughout that week: "Where's guys?"

More camp photos

While the boys were at camp, Keith, myself, and Benjamin stayed at the Inn 9 miles north of the camp. We took our bikes with us, so we decided to ride down to the ranch one day and watch Joshua and Marc have their horsemanship lesson. It was very fun. The boys loved riding the horses and were able to learn some about riding.

Mom and Dad's 50'th Anniversary

The theme of the celebration was based on the Scripture, Unless the Lord builds the house....... Each of us 4 kids put up a piece of the house with our family's names on it, and my parents did the foundation and roof. This was done as we entered into the auditorium.
The women in my family from left to right....my sister, Carol Sue, me, Mom, and my sisters-in-law Mirian and Cindy.

The original six.....
....with our better halves.
Twelve of the 19 grandchildren were present.
What's a boy to do during a reception???

Oh to live in a world of men!

Well, in real life this picture looks better than here, as it's not so dark, but at least you can get an idea of our last family photo.

More to come!

I will post more later, but did want to give you a glimpse into our WONDERFUL week of vacation. I'll start off with some pictures of camp. Later I'll post from my parent's 50'th anniversary celebration and more from vacation. Check back soon....more will be coming shortly!

Our boys (plus cousin Jonathan) got to enjoy a week of camp during our vacation. Here they are all ready for a great week.
All set and off for his first week of camp!

Pretty in Pink....oops....I mean Camo!

This is what I get with a family full of BOYS.....LOTS of camo! I had to offset it with just a touch of pink.

Silly boys!

Like Amy, I can't figure out how to turn this video around....I guess I just have to remember to video with the camera the other direction.

Silly boys!

Ben and Shelly are married!

Yesterday we got to go to Ben and Shelly's wedding reception....since we didn't get to go to the wedding in Brazil. (Shelly is my niece.)

Benji gazing at the bride.

Benjamin LOVES Ben....this was one of the fun times they had during the reception.

Family Fun

Bubbles have proven to be a great form of entertainment lately, especially for Louie....he LOVES to chase and "eat" the bubbles.
Benjamin was trying to copy his big brothers and wear a helmet (he put it on himself), so Joshua decided to take him for a ride.
Ben and Scott discover the results of blue icing.
On our recent "tour" to Longaberger, Lindsay and I happened to be wearing the same colors....thus the photo. Yep...Kim with a girl. Thanks, Amy, for sharing your daughter!
